Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

·

To ensure that all SGS Global RSPO certification activities are carried out correctly and effectively as per the global system procedures (GSP), global product procedures (GPP) and accreditation standard requirements are being adhered to.

·

Responsible to liaise with 3

rd

party Accreditation Body (e.g. ASI) to ensure accreditation program is effectively maintained and implemented.

·

To support Sales, Business Development and Training related to the RSPO or related Biofuel scheme in ensuring yearly revenue targets are met.

REPORTING

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

·

Responsible in ensuring a smooth technical implementation of the SGS accredited RSPO certification program at the local and global level and the quality of the services delivered.

·

Specific responsibilities of the RSPO Accreditation Manager include:

·

To effectively implement the SGS RSPO certification process at global and local level.

·

The RSPO Accreditation Manager shall be responsible for all global RSPO accreditation activities including successful maintenance of accreditation

·

The RSPO Accreditation Manager would be the primary contact with the external accreditation body (i.e. ASI)

·

The RSPO Accreditation Manager is also appointed as local Management Representative who, irrespective of other responsibilities, shall have responsibility and authority in ensuring management system is established, implemented and maintained as well as reporting to local Top Management/Business Manager on the performance of the management system and needs for continual improvement

·

To provide inputs about RSPO Accredited Certification program during the management review meeting

·

To coordinate and provide auditor training, approval, development and performance monitoring as per GSP and/or GPP

·

To support, establish, maintain and fulfill inter-office agreements in ensuring supporting offices continue to function effectively and complied to the RSPO accreditation bodies requirements.

·

To liaise with the certifying and supporting office on technical and system management issues

·

To review audit packages and make certification decision

·

Co-ordinate all activities with sub-contract auditors / trainers /technical experts as required

·

To support the sales / business development teams to secure contracts for local and international clients

·

To support, manage pre and post contract commercial issues

·

To support and lead the auditing team to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Code of Professional Conduct and Integrity

·

To co-ordinate and ensure initial auditor performance and periodic review of auditor is carried out as per GPP and RSPO scheme requirements

·

Responsible to authorize RSPO proposal

·

Conducting & monitoring the level 3 supporting office audit program and upload in the sharepoint

·

Maintain necessary reporting (e.g. active affiliate, overdue audit, approved auditor list and etc.) to ensure effective implementation of GPP worldwide.

PROFILE

·

Degree in

palm oil management; agriculture, ecology, social science, environment

or related field.

·

At least 15 years working experience of which atleast 7-8 years professional experience in an area of work relevant to biofuel audits

·

Experience and knowledgeable in accreditation standard such as ISO 17021

·

Experience in accreditation and technical management

REQUIRED SKILLS

·

High level interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a client’s organisation and SGS both global and local levels.

·

Customer focused orientated person with good auditor’s attributes.

·

Proven negotiation skills to be able to negotiate technical issues when dealing with the client organisation’s management in relation to assessment findings.

·

Excellent and effective presentation and written communication skills.

·

An active, self motivated and organised person.

·

Follow SGS Rules for Employee Code of Ethics, Conduct, Confidentiality, Safety and Conflict of Interest policies and operating

·

Good command of English and National language. Fluent in other local dialects is an added advantage.

·

Able to travel and possess a valid driving licence.
